Regina Public Teachers’ Convention online October 15 include trade show sites and info

Instrument suppliers have been responding to the growth in developmental and community music by including the introduction of new products suited for group drumming and music. Facilitators like myself have explored different ways of reaching out to students of all ages in making music, social development, and therapeutic drumming.

The last few years have been a very odd kind of time but also, looking at our world from a different perspective I find I have discovered more about the “rhythms of life” and have been working more with the dynamics of music.

My grandson played a video game song he likes but it is a sad song.  He said “I don’t know why but this song makes me feel very sad”.  I said “the songwriter wanted you to feel what he feels so it is a good song if you felt what the songwriter wanted to express to you.”  That is the creativity in music, to express yourself and your own individuality in music, song, and rhythm.  We all connect through the heartbeat common to us all.

And I will continue to showcase instruments and sales on my web-site to show what can be put to wonderful, convenient, and affordable use in your classroom
