Victoria Day Parade, May 20 – Kick off to family picnic – Theme: Roots and Wings

A Parade for everyone. Get your costume, noisemaker, hat, banner, make an art object, decorate your bike or stroller and join the parade.Parade starts at Connaught School Yard, 14th and Elphinstone, continues down Elphinstone to the Neil Balkwill Centre.  Led by Captain Anarchy, this short but amazing parade will hit the streets to the sounds of the Mossing Parade Band and the Pile O’Bones Brass Band.  Experience the antics of FadaDancing to Pile O’Bones, Azura Dance, Tribal Vibes, Connaught Library Toddler Time Group. Parade starts at corner of Angus and 13th, continues down 13th Ave to Holy Rosary Park. Led by Captain Anarchy and the Pile O’Bones Brass Band who will peel the paint off the buildings along 13th, and have you dancing in the streets.  Joined by Jen Lachambre, Society for Creative Anachronism, Ya La Habibi Tribal Dancers, Globe Theatre Street Team with Kristy Apocada and Tribal Vibes, Azura Dance, and Funville performers.  Costumes, arts objects, banners, hats, preferred by freelance paraders.  Join in the spirit of awakening our Roots and Wings.
